Archer is the easiest drive of any town on this list: 10.6 miles on one road, no turns. It began in 1859 as a shipping point on David Levy Yulee's Florida Railroad and is named for James T. Archer, Florida's first Secretary of State. The pre-1900 depot still stands as the Archer Historical Society Depot Museum.
